Citco Tax Update: Current Trends and Best Practices for Transfer Pricing and Country by Country Reporting Under the BEPS Reports of the OECD

Corporate Services (Inc) hosted a breakfast event at the Citco Gateway office on Park Avenue in New York where a panel of tax experts gave an update about best practices for Transfer Pricing and Country by Country reporting under the OECD Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) reports. The event was attended by public and private companies, foreign investment agencies and private practitioners.

Speaker Biographies:

Eric van Aalst is President of Citco Corporate Services Inc., a New York subsidiary within the Citco Group of Companies, an international provider of corporate and fund administration services. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals and the American Corporate Counsel Association.

Olaf Smits is a transfer pricing specialist and counsel at Quantera Global. He has advised, managed and implemented transfer pricing projects in a wide variety of industries, from an in-house (oa Hewlett-Packard) and consultancy perspective. His experience includes the full circle of transfer pricing, from planning, design, implementation, to defence and documentation. Besides that, Olaf lecturers transfer pricing courses for several organizations and educations, as well as seminars. Olaf has a master degree in tax economics from the University of Amsterdam.

Theo Elshof is a Managing Director of Quantera Global and has more than 20 years experience in international tax, TP and tax control frameworks. His experience includes active participation in competent authority APAs and Mutual Agreement Procedures, design, planning, implementation and defence of restructuring projects, TP controversy / audits, tax and TP control frameworks. As an industry leader, Theo regularly speaks on seminars on global TP, tax risk assessment and management. Theo has master and post-master degrees in tax and controlling.

Ricardo Rosero is the founder and managing partner of BaseFirma.  Ricardo has 22 years of international transfer pricing experience. Before founding BaseFirma in 2002, Ricardo was a Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers’ global transfer pricing group based in Miami, in charge of developing the transfer pricing practice in Florida and Latin America. Over the course of his career, he has managed over 3,000 transfer pricing projects and provided consultation for some of the world’s largest multinational companies. Ricardo holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Institute of Social Studies and Erasmus University in The Hague and Rotterdam, The Netherlands and an MBA from European University, Antwerp, Belgium.
