Singapore and Asean region: Impact and implications of OECD base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) plans for private equity and real estate investment structures

Following the recent announcement by the ministry of finance that Singapore will join the inclusive framework for implementing measures against BEPS (base erosion and profit shifting), on October 18th 2016, Citco Singapore hosted a panel discussion with tax experts on the impact and implications of OECD BEPS for private equity and real estate investment structures. The event was primarily attended by private equity and real estate fund managers who participated in an active discussion on the challenges ahead posed by the use of holding companies and multi-layered investment structures.
