The State of Emergency in Kazakhstan ended but virtual meetings still in place
18 June 2020 - As of 11th May 2020, the state of emergency in Kazakhstan had ended by a presidential declaration. However, while the restrictions imposed in response to COVID-19 will gradually be eased or lifted in some cases, the threat of infections and cases spreading in some regions still remain.
For this reason, General and BoD meetings can still be called and conducted virtually. However, in order to proceed via this virtual option the following requirements must be met:
- Prompt notification is provided to the participants regarding time, date and agenda of the virtual meeting;
- All participants must be provided with all relevant documentation prior to any vote;
- Participants must be given an opportunity to bring proposals and issues related to the agenda; and
- All participants must be informed of any amendments or changes to the agenda made or proposed by other members prior to any voting.
